Not that I ever need an excuse to go an a massive Dio binge, but with it being the two year anniversary of his death today I thought I’d go back and spin the first three Rainbow records again. Suffice to say, they’re still incredible. I’d forgotten just how flawless this album is in particular. I will never tire of the guy’s work.

If nothing else, the death of a musical icon allows hoards of music snobs all over the internet to battle against each other in effort to prove their condolences are more sincere and valid than yours.
